Carolyn,

I haven't worked with this company but they do have an excellent rating with the BBB! Do keep in mind there are companies that will take title to your timeshare using all of the procedures required by the timeshare company. These companies require that you pay them to take the timeshare off your hands. It sounds counterintuitive but it does get you out from under the continuing obligations and the truth is, there are almost no buyers for timeshares. Please give us the name of the company you're dealing with, and we'll try to tell you whether this is a legitimate firm or one of the many many scam companies whose purpose is to separate people from their money.

I think if you have to put out any money it's a scam!!! Can someone tell me why you should have to put up any money just to sell the title. Just negotiate the buy price minus any closing costs.

I looked into corporal after reading what he said……he actually works for a competitor to Direct Transfers? HMMMMMM I kinda think we should take what he says with a grain of salt. I used Direct to help me with my timeshare and so far they have done everything they said would happen…I will let the community know when it is all done or if they fail to complete it, but so far so good!

They are EVIL!!! They are trying to scam us before we have entered into their contract! They offer 3 business days to get out of the contract. We met on a Friday and tried to get out the following Wednesday. We were told we were too late because they are open on Sat. and they consider Sat. to be a business day. Thankfully, we used a credit card and have disputed the payment with the bank. If this is not resolved we will be taking legal action. How's this for a kick??? They sent this to us after they thought they had us trapped and told us to sign and have it back in 48 hours over the phone. It says to sign and return in 7 days on the bottom of the letter. Another way to scam us maybe???

For a return to (“Customer”) of the title to the Timeshare Interest(s) described in this Termination Agreement, the Customer shall release and forever discharge Direct Transfers (“Direct Transfers”) and shall forbear from any legal action against Direct Transfers relating to the Service Agreement and any associated matters. If the Customer brings any legal action against Direct Transfers in breach of this Termination Agreement, the prevailing Party shall be entitled to attorney fees and costs. Under this Termination Agreement, Direct Transfers is absolved of any responsibility to service the Timeshare Interests herein described to anyone
other than the Customer.
This is the Parties’ full, final, and integrated agreement for full satisfaction of the duties arising from the Service Agreement referenced herein. The Customer agrees to forbear from filing a dispute on his or her credit card for any transaction related to the Service Agreement. And the Customer agrees to refrain from making any statement, oral or written, concerning his or her dealings with Direct Transfers unless Direct Transfers has granted its express written consent to such.

Do you need any more help with your question or do you think this covers it???

A timeshare transfer is not an easy process, in fact is it very complicated and requires a lot of time and patience. To get a timeshare transfer done, you must follow the next steps: http://www.timesharescam.com/blog/120-timeshare-transfer/
