Hi May,

Click above to see the report and reviews on RA Law Group. I also recommend clicking on "loan modifications" under the popular tags to the left and reading some information about loan modifications before doing business with any company.

Good luck!

May,

Obtaining a loan modification is not an easy process and there is no guarantee that you would qualify thus making this industry very problematic especially in lieu of the current economic conditions.

I have attached their BBB Report but make sure you do your homework and get all the facts before signing any contracts.

Check out the Scam section at the top of this page about Loan Modification Tips, Links, & Resources - April 2010, there's some helpful tips on what to look out for and what resources are out there to help you.

Thank you.

Dave,

You can view the BBB report by clicking View BBB Report above where the company storefront is posted.

Also the Scam Section which contains links to many informational topics is located at the top of this page under New Scams but here is a link for easier use.

Mark,

Their BBB report shows they are document processors and based on lack of any other information that we could not verify on Mod Help USA, they have a C rating.

According to Mod Help USA's website they do not provide loan modifications, only document processing for loan modifications. They are not attorneys or licensed to provide loan modification services.

Effective October 11, 2009, prohibiting collection of an advance fee by both licensed real estate brokers and licensed attorneys whose principal business is negotiating loans secured by real property. (Lawyers for whom negotiating such loans is incidental to the practice of law are not subject to this prohibition.) The prohibition also applies to taking any wage assignment, collateral or other security to secure payment. No power of attorney may be taken for any reason. This newest law also redefines “advance fee” to include a fee of any kind.

Check out the scam section at the top of this page on this about loan modifications.

Effective October 11th, 2009 in California, it is illegal to collect any fees, regardless of the form, for negotiating or attempting to negotiate a loan modification for a residential mortgage. All services must be fully completed before any charges can be imposed. It is also illegal to divide advance fees or services into components for the purpose of avoiding this law.

State regulators, the FTC, and other federal regulators recommend that homeowners should never pay any up-front fees and be on the lookout for high-pressure sales tactics. HUD approved housing counseling agencies are exempt from this law and since I work for one of these, I of course recommend that homeowners start their loan mod journey by calling us first.
