I have been contacted by Grand Caribbean Cruise Line with free room and board for 2 days and nights. Just need taxes up front.(118.00) Ship is called Bahama Celebration. Insisted I register now and could not talk to husband and call back later...Said it did not matter because if I registered and decided no later,I could pass it one to a friend or whatever... Said they give away 3% of their rooms per year for promotional reasons and only ask that after I have a good time I will talk good about their ship and recommend them to others.

Any comments about this company??

Hi Ann,

If you are ever contacted by someone without entering into a contest or contacting them first, it is probably a scam. Usually these "cruise lines" use free trips or vouchers in attempt to bombard with you timeshare opportunities and pushy sales seminars. If you ever do get your "free" trip, it costs much more than they claim and they black out so many dates that you may never get around to booking it. I'd stay away.

I wasn't able to locate a report on Grand Caribbean Cruise Line, however when I Googled "Grand Caribbean Cruise Line" several links and reviews came up regarding "Grand Caribbean Cruise Line Scam". I suggest you take a look for yourself.

It appears they use misleading advertising regarding their pricing and claim the accomodations are more superior than that of other discounted plans but participants claim they are provided meager accomodations not worth what they paid.

The rule of thumb is if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is.
