This question concerns Paradise Dream ToursLLC....My fiance made reservations with them in 2010,by credit card,almost$900.00.We've been trying to redeem these certificates from them for a vacation end of 2013,their phones are disconnected, and there are A TON of bad stories about them.....Are they history,or what?We are going to be contacting the credit card co,to find ouif a refund will be available, after all this time...we have any other recourse to obtain a refund??Thank you,Marcia Morey.

Marcia,
They appear to be out of business. If you check with the Secretary of State of Florida you can determine whether they're a valid corporation, a legal address (to serve them and determine who they are), and whether they're still operating anywhere. If they're not a legitimate corporation you can go after the principals/owners of the company for reimbursement. This assumes, of course, you can find them and they have some assets. If so, you can pursue them in small claims court. If they are a valid corporation and still operating you can sue them or hire a collections agent who will chase them for you. Finally, if they file bankruptcy you can petition the bankruptcy court as an unsecured creditor for your share of the proceeds (after satisfaction of the secured creditors). This information will also be available through the Secretary. The (bankruptcy) court will notice you as a creditor or you can petition them if you're not noticed/listed. Realistically, though, tour operators don't have lots of assets and the company probably used customer deposits for working capital. So, your chances of getting anything back is small. Sorry.
