I contracted A Better Move about a week in advance of my move date. It was a local move - about 20 miles from our old place to our new one. We packed up all of our belongings so that the movers only had to move packed boxes and our furniture. I was confident in the company, since I received a confirmation phone call both on my home phone and my cell phone the day before the move. They were scheduled to be at my house between 12:00pm and 2:00pm on the moving day. I waited, and at 2:30pm I finally decided to call and check the status of their arrival. There was no answer. I called numerous times that afternoon, and there was never an answer. If you're reading this review you are planning a move, and you understand the implications of having all your stuff in boxes and then being stuck with no place to go, and not even a bed to sleep in since everything is dismantled and packed away.

I understand that emergencies arise, but A Better Move never called, even after the fact. I don't know what happened, but an explanation or assistance in making alternative arrangements would have been appreciated.

I did not file a complaint, and have no recourse with the company since we never paid them. It was just a terrible inconvenience and an overall very negative experience.
