Alan Smith Pools gave me an estimate to replaster my pool and they upsold me on a new pool light even though mine was working just fine. After replastering my pool, they cut my pool light out and now tell me they can't pull the new wires and it's my fault somehow. Then they send me an estimate of $2400 for me to pay to correct their incompetence. They even went so far as to suggest I put a "dummy light" in my newly remodeled pool to solve the problem. Repeated attempts via email to multiple employees including Alan Smith himself have gone unanswered. My project remains unfinished and it started 60 days ago! I would not suggest this company and will tell every person I come into contact with both personal and professional NOT to use this company!
8/9/2011: Update- I sent an email to the owner himself (Alan Smith), his project manager and two other office folks requesting them to fix their mistake at their expense and to make this job right once and for all. That was over a week ago and I didn't even get a response from this company! My family has suffered through this entire summer with an embarassment for a pool thanks to Alan Smith Pools. I tell people everyday about this ordeal and will continue to do so to protect the general public from this company.
