Frustrating experience
Attempted to order an engagement ring, initially received no order confirmation, and had to use live chat to get the order number. a couple of days later was told to complete a security check by emailing pictures of ID documents and credit cards. I had some reservations about this extremely unsecure process, so I tried to ask a few questions about the process and every time received the same copy and paste response and no answers to my questions. Eventually relented and emailed the requested pictures, and had to resend as PDF as apparently their own security prevented opening the pictures (so why not give information about acceptable format when requesting the pictures??) heard nothing further for a few days so decided to track the order via their website only to learn the order had been cancelled with absolutely no notification to myself that this had occurred. Gave up and sourced another ring from a much more helpful local jeweler.

Hello David Thank you for sharing your feelings about your experience. I can hear that this must have been so frustrating. That was definitely not our intent. Angara confirmation of orders are automatically emailed to the customer the minute the order is placed. Yours was emailed to whatever email address you entered in the order. That being said--technology is not always perfect. If a customer calls to tell us they did not receive confirmation we can re-email the confirmation of order. When you emailed your documents there was a once in every decade warning that said that the files were dangerous. Technologically that is a big warning sign and we were advised not to open what you had sent. I see that we did email you six times to work out the security check to proceed with your order. We were excited to make the ring you had selected as we are personally involved with every piece of Angara jewelry. We are sorry that this left a cloud of the ring purchase. The Angara goal is to spread sunshine. I am hoping you will give us another chance to dazzle you with our jewelry and customer service. However due to the tech problems with your order I would recommend that you only check out with the additional options of PayPal or Amazon. Your order would then not have to go through our security department. We would love a 2nd chance to put a smile on your face. Please feel free to reach out and call or email or chat with us.
