I had a horrible experience with Dr. Walderman. In my first visit he took an xray and said I broke my sesamoid (2 months prior). It was healing up. I asked why I was still having some weird feeling when I tried walking and he did not answer my question sufficiently. So I kept probing, asking how he could be sure I didn't have ligament damage. He answered either 'I have 20 yrs experience' or 'well, your options are to get an MRI or get a second opinion.' Needless to say In our first visit I felt like my questions weren't answered so I scheduled a second visit (even though my friend said to get a second opinion). I kept asking how he could be sure I didn't have ligament damage and tried to describe better what I was feeling. He sarcastically said 'well, the xray only shows bones' and 'you're getting an academic lesson today.' At the end of our session I got a second opiinion. The 2nd doctor told me I should not be wearing the boot. Explained why I was feeling weirdness when I walked, gave me suggestions for exercises to get rid of the weird feeling and did all that without the ego and attitude. I have not worn the boot since and I no longer feel pain. It has been 2 months since Dr. Walderman ordered my orthotics and I have yet to see them. I have emailed twice to ask about them and both times they just say that the orthotics aren't in yet. I will never go see this doctor again and I beg you not to see him either.
