Review 6/30/2010
My son took his car to this shop. He has no job and made a deal with the owner of this shop to make payments. A written agreement was made stating that the owner would put a lien on the car and my son would pay monthly until it was paid off. The car was in the shop...and after 6 or 7 days, the owner said it was done, charged my son 700+ dollars and gave it back. The car made it about 2 miles, choking and sputtering and then died. The shop owner towed it back to his shop and there it sat for about 8 more days. My son has a newborn and needs the car to look for work and to take his son to dr. appointments. He asked the owner every day if it was done and the owner kept putting him off. The owner eventually told my son he would need a new fuel injection system and that it would put the price up to around 1500.00. At that point my son said just give it back and he would replace that. The owner left the car in his parking lot. When my son got down there to get it, the battery was dead, it was completely out of gas and would not run. When he finally did get it running and started home, he got about 1 mile up the road and it caught on fire with his newborn in the car. Now my son owes this guy 800.00 and has a car that is completely ruined. He is a crook....and he is going to have to make good on his deal or he will be going to civil court. To take advantage of an unemployed father who had no other way to get his car fixed is downright cruel.
