I seriously warn anyone considering joining the program of Debt Remedy Solutions (DRS). They don't deliver on their promises. YOU ARE BETTER OF TALKING AND WORKING OUT A PAYMENT PLAN DIRECTLY WITH YOUR CREDITORS.I enrolled in their program in 2008 for reasons that I just want to payoff my 2 credit cards quicker. I have been faithful in paying a little above the monthly fee but thought there might be a quicker way to pay them off. So that's when I decided to enroll 2 accounts with DRS.So did their services help me shorten my goal of paying off my credit card debt quicker? No! Here's where I am right now.- They advised me to stop communicating with my creditors and stop paying them monthly.RESULT: It was expected, as they have told this, that I would get a lot of calls from creditors and eventually collection agencies trying to get payment. I followed DRS's direction. My debt was outsourced to collection agencies. I kept paying DRS's fee and was paid at 90% when I got a summons from the court. The collection agency claimed that DRS was not communicating with them regarding my account, thus, the summons. I paid the collection agency the debt as agreed. DRS was to report the payment to the 3 credit bureaus stating that the debt has been paid. DRS failed to do this and insists on getting the balance of their own fee. To this day they have not delivered on this. At that time they still had my 1 other account enrolled in the program and they have been paid at 90%. When I demanded they deliver first what they had promised, ie the report to credit agencies, they did not comply. I did majority of the communication with the collection agency from the other account as well.MY TWO CENTS: Run as fast as you can in the other direction away from this company. They collect their fees and once they have been paid, they don't have any incentive to work to your best interest as client. Just talk directly and negotiate directly with your creditors. Trust me, going through DRS will not shorten your debt time nor save you money. It will cost you more. It cost me more than $6K for DRS's fees alone---money that was the same amount that my other creditor was willing to accept (for me to walk away from my debt paid as agreed) when I negotiated directly with them.
