0 Stars!!!! I had this part time job for the past 7 years & every so often they require a background check and drug screen for their customers. I passed all of these. This year they used HireRight. When I was on their web page filling out the background information I came to the education section. I accidentally checked degree received at my community college. As soon as I checked it, it grayed out. It wouldn’t let me uncheck it. So I figured I would continue and it will give me a chance at the end to make corrections. It didn’t. It submitted it. I tried calling them to no avail. As soon as Hireright received the school research from the National Student Clearinghouse, Maria Jesusa Garcia just getting back from lunch immediately sent an email to my job with the Subject "MAJOR DESCREPANCY" and then to their Cust Srv dept for clarification. They did this out of order. Hireright called me to verify my discrepancy a couple of days after Maria Jesusa Garcia sent that email. It was already to LATE!!! I wasn't called for anymore work and H/R told me that I failed my background check. I tried to explain and they said I had to call HireRight. Well the web designers are 12 years old, guess what, the people that answer their phones are dumber yet and very rude. Here is a little background on this case: I work in Information Technologies for the past 33 years. I am the Data Center Manager at my day job. I am very familiar with web sites. This web site seemed to be written by a child. No Edits, nothing. If this happened to me, this has had to happen to others. Companies like HireRight need to be held accountable for this kind of stuff. When I finally got a hold of them to complain what they done to me, it was to late, the girl that answered the phone told me that my education didn't meet company standards and that is why I didn't get the job. Who is she? Telling me that's why I didn't get the job. That wasn’t true. I worked there for 7 years, why would I want to lie now, I already had the job!!! She was a complete idiot. She had no clue I already worked there. I know what requirements my job entailed. She then kept putting me on hold for 30 seconds at a time. I asked her not to do that. She said she can do that to calm me down any time she wants like a big baby, she was acting like a 5 year old. She was making it worse. She was one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. I demanded they send me the background check transcript and I can clearly see in it the date and time that Maria Jesusa Garcia sent the email to my job. They have to respect employees information and protect it like it is there own. It seems to me they like it when they can find something wrong (even if it was a mistake) and report it immediately instead of contacting the applicant and give them a chance. This company is a joke!!!! If you are someone looking for a job and the recruiter uses HireRight, demand they use someone else. If you are an employer thinking about using HireRight, DONT. Go someone else. You get what you pay for. Their web site security isn't up to par, its security certificate is either expired or falsified. They will take forever to get you information and that information will be incorrect when it finally comes. Find a reputable company. This company should be shut down. Maybe with all these reviews, it may happen someday. The internet is a powerful thing. I spoke to my H/R Department at the job I worked at for 33 years and told them about what happened to me. She already heard of horror stories and even read these reviews about this company and wouldn't ever consider using them. Word is getting out. I am going to write to my senator. Maybe we can get them kicked out of our state :) Oh and on the drug screen, that is the only thing they did right but that also deserves a review. I am use to going to top quality companies when giving body fluids. Hireright was in a strip mall. I walked in, it smelled like urine. I approached the girl at the front desk, she rudely told me to sit down. I waited 20 min and then the girl called me up, She asked me what I wanted. I told her I had an appt. The girl behind her overheard and came and got me. Why did she make me wait 20 min while she was playing on her computer. What is wrong with the people that they hire. They all have attitudes. This place is the pits. I am going to write to my senator and I am bringing litigation to this place. Maybe we can get a class action law suite together. They are being sued all the time. Look it up.
