Pretty Good Experience
I made the mistake of reading the thousands of reviews regarding this organization and about gave myself a stroke. The process (specifically the drug test) was extremely long. They have no sense of urgency and refuse to contact the phone numbers you provide for them to verify your information. When they finally did, my employer couldn't get back through to verify my employment as it always went to a voicemail. Since they contacted the wrong number initially, they only verified one of the contracts I completed with the company. I provided this information to my recruiter and kept her updated at all times. Last night I received an email that my background check will be closed as "Meet Company Standards" which is good news, only they haven't done it yet. It's been very stressful but each time I've contacted HireRight everyone except for one person (American) was very nice and helpful. There is a language barrier for sure, as I called in with a question and she noted that on my file and had my question completely wrong. They should really ask for clarification. I was wondering why she began giving me an answer to something I didn't ask in the first place. At any rate, it was not near as bad as I thought it would be and I'm very thankful that it wasn't. Just the longest background check I've ever encountered which will make you have anxiety like crazy. Well, all I can do is wait for the employer at this point. I think it's important to note that each company has a standardized backgound check; however, some positions may only take into consideration some of the elements of the background check. It's ultimately up to the employer to make the decision, so keeping in contact with them is best. Only list what you can verify. They did not ask me for any additional information such as W-2's they just kept trying the number then closed it with a discrepency. I assume during the adjudication process (Employer reviews the report and determines if you are eligible for hire or gets clarifying information from you) that may or may not be addressed.
