What a bunch of hype.
ShopNBC and this so-called premium watch brand should be taken to task. Rebecca Biatz, who identified herself in her e mail as; Rebecca Baitz, Supervisor Customer Service, Shop NBC (rbaitz@invictawatch.com) called me to assist me after sending Jim Skelton an e mail regarding terrible experiences with their product. That was October 2009 - it is now May 17, 2010 - and still no watch.
Biatz subsequent e mails (38 messages to date - saved everyone of them) are full of excuses and admissions from her that she did not follow through on her promises. Even explained recently that the company e mail was down... in an e mail message?!
Sent two watches to Invicta. Was subject to $25.00 each to send for repair. However, because I had ALREADY paid $25.00 for one of the watches repaired for the EXACT SAME PROBLEM - Biatz agreed that I should not have to pay additional fees.
I have received one watch back - but choose not to wear the thing because of the terrible service - and for the fear that it would break on the band at the same spot a third time... I am still waiting on the return of a "Swiss Made" diver which has been the subject of the repeated misinformation.
I would NEVER purchase another Invicta watch. I am a collector and have several brands which cost many times more than the Invicta watches. There is not a singe chance that I would spend money on what ShopNBC and Invicta identify as their high end watches. Valjoux movement or not.
I tell everyone who notices my other watches about sub-par brands, such as Invicta. I will continue to post negative information from my experiences with this company - in hopes that others will not suffer the half-truths and misinformation from the customer service department - or the hype and bravado of Eyal and other who represent this brand on ShopNBC.
UPDATE--- After waiting for a replacement watch, and another conversation with the customer service department - I received the replacement watch sent by Chris from customer service on a Saturday delivery from Fedx, no less - Chris sent me a ladies watch... said he had to make certain that he was NOT sending out a ladies watch. But there it was, all 34mm of it.
Is it any wonder why Invicta has such a poor rating with the Better Business Bureau? Giving them any stars is far too many. DO NOT PURCHASE INVICTA PRODUCTs - They are junk - and the help you get from their customer service is no help at all - AVOID INVICTA altogether.
