poor quality for sure

I recently purchased the 500 TC paisley pattern sheets. I thought I was getting a good quality product. What I got was poor quality.I gave it the benefit of the doubt and washed the sheets first, thinking that things would change, they didn't. I attempted to put the fitted sheet on, and it was too small, to the point that the seam that holds the elastic tore. I don't have an oversized mattress which is why I chose this sheet based on it's 15" description.
For the price, it's a rip off.
What do I do now? Am I able to return them after they have been washed & used?
