Great Refinance Experiance
I was referred to Chris by another party who contacted me to see if I was interested in refinancing my home. I was not in the market for refinancing options because we plan on selling our house within the next two years and plus I didn’t want to reduce the equity we had in the house and pay less on principle each month. So let’s just say I wasn’t very interested in talking about refinancing at all… well that was until I spoke to Chris. I mentioned the above concerns to Chris and he understood my concerns and told me that he could save me $200-$400 a month on my mortgage payment. While not decreasing the equity in my home significantly by utilizing the VA refinancing options, and there is a possibility we wouldn’t have to make payments for the first two months. Chris volunteered to send me some numbers that reflected our conversation, I also did my own mortgage amortization calculations and came up with very similar numbers. At that point I decided to do move forward with VA refinancing option, thanks to Chris. I’m a hard person to convince and live by the motto DTA (Don’t Trust Anyone). So for Chris to get me to trust him in getting us the best rate and options for our mortgage is a testament to him and his dedication to his profession. So, then begins the process of submitting documents and filling out applications. Compared to our first mortgage process this one was very streamlined and a majority of it was completed online, without having to leave the comfort of my home, matter of fact I never had to leave my home to complete any portion of the process. Chris was there every step of the way, following up via email, text and or telephone. We probably spoke more via text than any other communication means, which I preferred. If it wasn’t for the VA taking its time we probably would have had the entire process completed within 30 days, however the government being the government it took a little longer (approximately 60 days from application submittal to closing). The time we had schedule for closing was right around Christmas and New Years, and we didn’t plan on being in town during this time and would be out of the state visiting family. I thought this would put a delay in our process but Chris and his company scheduled a Notary to come to the location where we were vacationing to sign our documents. However, we were unable to close while on vacation due to the aforementioned delays at the VA. So we closed within the comforts of our home two days after returning for vacation, we got a great rate, I think we pay about $325 less a month, we pay pretty much the same amount to principle and the balance on the loan only went up about $3500. I would recommend Chris to anyone of my friends looking to refinance or looking to acquire a mortgage for a new purchase. When we are looking for our new home in the next year or so, we will definitely be contacting Chris for assistance with another mortgage.
