They solicited us regarding mortgage refinancing with NO closing cost or any other fees. After we agreed to work with them their enthusiastic attitude changed 180 degrees. Despite the fact that we submitted all requested documents in a timely manner they kept delaying the final outcome. According to their emails the loan had been successfully approved and was being somewhere in underwriting. We dealt with Rubin Quintero and Rob Morrison. The agreement was that we did not have to incurr any fees and/or additional costs. Nevertheless, after 3 months of waiting we received a suspishiously looking letter casually requesting $13,000 in origination fee and so-called settlement cost as if we had ever discussed this!!!! After we refused to sign this "document" and inquired about its legicimacy they informed us that they were unable to complete the refinancing for us because of some "missing" documents that we had not submitted, which is a complete BS. How could the loan be in the underwriting if something vital had NOT been submitted? The LoanDepot "company" is a bunch of crooks and con artists. NEVER agree to deal with them. They are simply dangerous.
