Marinello School in Ontario, CA. This school has several things that they really need to look into revising in order to making it a cohesive learning environment that the students are entitled to. I am currently a student and have been enrolled for 5 weeks now so I am seeing this stuff first hand. The school stresses that all students need to be in dress code: 80% of the students are out of dress code and hardly any of the instructors care. The school has 3 restroom stalls that are extremely fithly, the doors don't lock, the toilet paper container opens when you are trying to get toilet paper out, the restroom is not maintained by the instructors as it is part of their job. The school expects all these females in this school to share 3 stalls, AMAZING! While the instructors, Director, and other staff have a restroom that is pretty much how it should be. The breakroom is rediculously dirty and about 6 people can be in there confortably....there are about 25-30 students in each room and all go to lunch at the same time, how they expect you to enjoy that is beyond me. This School is supposed to supply the students with materials during class for demos and practice. Half of the time we are missing important key supplies in order for us to perform the service. We have to use something else and "pretend" we have it. The theory work is rediculous...you have an instructor that has many times in the past 5 weeks instructed us to do a service the wrong way. How can we learn if the instructor isn't 100% sure. This isn't really giving us the important steps we need to know for state board. What are the students paying all this money for when the above "failure to comply with education contract" is not being followed. Miss Lorraine is an "okay" instructor. She allows other students that are on the Junior/Senior floor hang out which really can be disrupting at times. The radio is extremely loud and some people need a learning environment to learn not a club scene. There is so much foul language that takes place in this class it is amazing. Miss Lorraine needs to understand that we are paying to go to school and she is getting paid to follow the guidelines and expectations that her job entails. She needs to be patient with us as we are learning. She should be a positive role model for us and teach us in a more professional environment. Last but not least, come to find out that our doll heads that we practice on have LICE!! They never informed any of us students about this. Wouldn't you want to know if you had dead lice around you?? How discusting is this. Someone should really call the health department or OSHA to inspect what is happening in this school. No School is perfect but I am sure the Director is getting paid a pretty penny to run this School but she needs to do a better job and get control over her School since this is a reflection of her Management. Not a good role model for us!! Miss Kay I believe is her name. The School also needs to invest in more badge swipe machines.....having to wait 15 mins to swipe out is a problem. Marinello you are getting all this money and I think you owe it to the students to take some corrective action and fix some of these issues.
