BBB reader, If your reading this because you’re curious why Maverick Real Estate has an “F” rating, you’ve come to the right place. The BBB’s rating is unfounded, at least in my book. In order to appreciate that statement, you should know a little bit about me. I am a Professional Property Scout. I am certified. And as a Property Scout, I work with Maverick Real Estate and their investor group to acquire commercial real estate in Dallas, Texas. So I speak from experience. The deals I have submitted are currently worth between $3 and $5 million dollars. And when they are ultimately acquired, developed and then sold off, they should be worth a respectable $23 million dollars, hopefully more. I learned how to find these properties by taking the training, working diligently and asking lots of questions whenever I had problems. I was already knowledgeable about real estate and had been previously pretty successful. But because of the credit crunch, I needed to switch gears because I didn’t have access to the capital anymore. I took the training, made a list of all my local broker contacts and jumped in with both feet, finding deals that would hit the investors’ sweet spot. There’s no question, this can be very lucrative. It does take training, time and a reasonable amount effort. The company will train and guide you but they won’t do the work for you. To make the a lot of money and to be a partner on the deals, you are the one who has to provide the sweat equity upfront. There’s no getting around that part. They aren’t going to give you a dime, or make you partner on anything, unless your have the initiative and the follow through, to create value. But it’s worth it. It’s not hard work but you have to be consistently working through properties that you uncover. If you like the thrill of the hunt, like analyzing new deals and not doing all the rest of the real estate stuff, this is perfect because you never have to leave your house. The company has always come through for me. From the moment you sign-up, the training is complete. They don’t nickel and dime you after you signup, or do a bait and switch or leave out key pieces of information. If I have specific questions, my questions are answered the same day usually. When I submit a deal to them, they always tell me the status. I must admit I have had deals rejected, but they always tell me why and that allows me to get better at finding what they are looking for. So I never get discouraged. I just keep refining my aim and getting clearer about what they are looking for. I have never heard anyone who has had an unkind word for them on a weekly conference call. I have never talked any other property scout who’s been They aren’t slick like some of these real estate gurus out there. They don’t play games. Everyone seems so helpful and appreciative. Who knows why the BBB gave these guys an “F”. It’s not true, so who cares. But if after reading this and you decided to you dismiss this company, you should think again if you are serious. Because if you are motivated as I am to be successful in real estate, this is a real opportunity with a real payoff if you follow through. That’s the key. There’s no doubt about it. You may be wondering why I have written this long review. I can assure you I am happy with my training and happy with the company. After I saw the rating, I was shocked because it was so unfair based upon my experience. I just don’t like to see good folk with good intent mistreated and maligned. Sure I am partners with them, but that doesn’t make my experience any less valid. In fact, it makes it more valid. R. T. Powell Professional Property Scout P.S. I did have one complaint. I used to have an old dial-up phone connection, and all the audios and videos and downloads on their website really was time consuming. Hours and hours. When I upgraded to broadband in my new house, all my problems went away. So I would recommend that you pay a little bit more to your Internet provider for a faster connection.
