I registered an account with this company about 15 months ago, I forgot a security question, and found myself unable to access most of the basic account features even though I have the account name and password.
I set a request for help, received an automated response stating that I never registered the game to the email account used 15 months ago to sign up for this service. At the very least I was a little disappointed that it is indeed the email listed on the login page after login and the original confirmation email is still in the inbox.
I also have seen users trading cash for in-game items, though most companies find this abhorrent it seems to be promoted here, a little shifty in my opinion.
