Why didn't I do this years ago?

For years I was getting mail offering refinance deals, and I tore them up, satisfied with the loan I had. Finally I decided to look into the offers a little more seriously. I responded to a mailing from PrimeChoice, offering rates as low as 2.79%. Skeptical, I inquired anyway. Keith McKay came back with a serious offer of 3.25% for a 30 year VA mortgage. I checked other lenders, and 3.25% seemed to be the going deal, with small variations only in fees and escrow amounts. So I went with Prime Choice. Mr. McKay and Bob Lin carried it through. Now I'm saving about $450 a month, and now the main question is, why didn't I do this years ago?
