Bait and Switch Company
Started communicating with Erik Von Detten on 8-26-15. Terrible customer service skills.I asked Erik what the spread was to purchase coins, and he said good question, but he avoided my question and said he had to take a call from a customer who had called him twice and he would call me back. Had questions for Erik but could not get a response from him. Called and spoke to Jason Burson, and asked if Erik was around. Jason said he saw him in the hallway, but said Erik was hard to reach as he is a high volume gold broker. Jason then told me Erik was going on vacation to Germany. Jason apologized for the poor customer relations I had experienced, and said he would leave Erik a message. Erik never had any intention of calling me back he was on vacation! The next day I heard from Chase Greenich. He also apologized for what had happen, and said he wanted to make things right and wanted to help me. Chase offered to reduce the cost of the coins I wanted to purchase, and increase my coins from 10 to 12 coins at the same price. He told me he could get me AU58+ $10 Libety coins. When I recieved my Order Confirmation on 8-27-15, the coin description said $10 Liberty AU -1/2 Oz. I recieved the coins on 9-3-15, and knew instantly that the coins were not even close to AU grade let alone AU58+. I have been a coin collector all my life as was my Father. I immediately had 3 NGC Certified coin experts examine the coins and all agreed they were sub par grade coins. 4 of the coins had been cleaned rendering them worthless to a coin colector, and the remaining 8 coins graded at Fine/Very Fine grade. the 1893 coin was also damaged with a nick on the top of the coin. I sent them back the same day! I emailed Chase and he called me back, but it wasnt the same employee who wanted to help me on 8-27-15. He yelled in the phone that "The customer is always right, and said I could buy my coins else where. In a follow up E mail Chase said to return my coins and he would credit my card upon reciet. On 9-18-15, I recieved a call from Nick Peyour and he told me he would return $10,600.00 to my credit card. I asked him when that would be completed and he said on Friday 9-11-15. I called Nick on Friday and left him a message telling him my Card had not been credited yet. 2 more follow up calls, but no response. So much for good customer relations all around. Strike three!!!My transaction is now being handled by my credit card company.Buyer BEWARE, Rosland can charge the consumer a spread fee up to 33%. Now I know why Erik didnt want to tell me the spread cost for purchasing numismatic coins. After reading this and you still want to do business with Rosland Capital, Good Luck!!!! The next contact I had was with Chase Greenich.
