New Customers just watch out! This company Source One knocked on my door alleging they were ADT, a highly reputable alarm company. According to ADT, Source One is only an independent third party vendor that works on commission and Rudy Solis, the owner, does not have a City Solicitor’s License.
However, as part of their tactics, they go from door-to-door with a list of recent home buyers to help convincing unaware home owners under the false pretences of recent neighborhood break-ins. In my case, they were so convincing when they pointed to the logo of ADT on the top of their contract that I really thought I was signing a 2 year contract with ADT while this was just a trap to get me to sign a Source One contract instead, so they could claim a commission from ADT. Later, when I realize that I was involved in their deceptive practices, I stopped paying and tried to cancel my contract. They refused because if I cancel the service, they would not get a commission from ADT. Furthermore, they hired a collection company to force me to give them the equivalent of their commission under the threat that my A+ credit would be damaged.
So I sued Source One Security and got a judgment dismissing their claims for this commission they were not entitled to. As for Rudy, the judge warned him to not even think in filling an appeal because he didn’t want to see him in his court room again with this same case. This is just another case of Buyer Beware!!!!!!
