A Gold Customer Clarification

After reading a series of misguided and inaccurate reviews I thought I better explain the real fact suite. Many reviewers are confusing a tragic experience with a shady gold dealer with actions or Sterling Trust.
Their reviews will not help people avoid the same situation.
I do not now nor ever have worked for Sterling.
Sterling is a Custodian there role is to generate statements and keep IRA or qualified money accounts I.R.S. compliant and hold assets for the clients benefit.
Hundereds of Gold dealers forward clients to Sterling and distribute their brochures. One particular dealer, Superior Gold has been prosecuted for absconding with clients money and not delivering Gold that was paid for.
This company convinced clients to send them IRA withdrawls directly, assuring then they would forward the $ and applications on to a Custodian like Sterling or Gold Star. They did not. They stole the money. Whose brochures they distributed is not relevant. Even if they forwarded in unfunded applications the Custodian would not know things were awry.
To protect yourself, avoiding Sterling or any of the long tenured physical asset custodians will not help. Following the suggests below will
Choose a Gold dealer that has a high BBB rating
Choose a Gold dealer with 10+ years in the business
Choose a Gold dealer that does custodian to custodia transfers and does not suggest withdrawls.
