Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty at Strax (Lauderhill,Fl)

Greetings.This will not be a short post, because I truly believe that anyone reading about my personal experience while considering a medical procedure, would receive far less insight had I only contributed a few lines of text... And to whom would that benefit? So here we go.
First; I will make a list of the concerns I may have had while considering a top and Bottom Blepharoplasty, to be performed as an out of town patient by Dr Stanley Sherman, via Strax Rejuvenation.
Concerns: (Refer back to these as needed; I will do my best to address them all)
Traveling alone from out of town, while feeling alone during such a life event.
How will I be received and treated, both mentally and physically?
Will they toss any unexpected or added expenses over and beyond what was previously stated?
Will Dr. Sherman evaluate me with fairness, honesty and factually while allowing me to keep my dignity intact?
Will the facility be clean and proper, while enabling the level of confidence that I would expect in order to move forward with a procedure?
Will Dr. Sherman and his team be able to deliver the result they agreed to be possible?
Will the mature age of Dr. Sherman work in OR against my favor? (Sorry Dr. Sherman, for that one... But I want to be completely honest, as I had hoped others were while I was reading yelps)
WILL HE/THEY LISTEN AND HEAR ME AS I OPEN UP MY CONCERNS AND SHARE MY SHORT LIST OF WISHES?
OMG!! I read 3 people died after having procedures through Strax!... Will this happen to me too???
Okay, now you have some insight to most of my concerns (I spared you the ones that I feel were just my being a bit of a 'Drama-Queen'.. No need to make anyone suffer unnecessarily)... Having said that; If you're still curious, well, let's do this!
Allow me to introduce myself; My Name is David, and I am a 44 year-old male stylist living and working in the Orlando area. Obviously, in my line of work, I certainly can't sell a beauty service easily while appearing tired, beat-down and looking older than I actually am.. So that should give you an idea of my realistic expectations along with my very high hopes!
Okay, I was not about to make an almost 4 hour trek just to have a conversation and get a price quote (Not in today's world with quality camera phones and high-speed internet to shoot info back and forth.. Just saying) So They were really good about a consult over the phone and via email with the aid of photos. A few back and forth's with the question and answer game, well By the next morning after sleeping on it, I provided my card info and paid in-full so that it was one less thing I would have to think about. (BTW They were really detailed in offering multiple payment solutions including financing if I had wanted to go that direction.) Next step, I had to sign and return all medical documents required by law/Strax, while also submitting about 3 vials of my blood to 'Quest" to be tested for ??? I tried to figure it out, but in the end after researching the codes on the test order, well It really came down to this.. It was so They know I would not be an uncontrollable bleeder and that I would be able to undergo their anesthetic's of choice while having low to extremely low risk of a negative reaction; and of course the ability to heal properly... Do not over think the blood-work.... Give it and forget it!
So I went down the evening before, checked into a room and did my best to have a nice time.. This is the Day I met Dr. Sherman... This is where things start getting more exciting and less scary. His age... I was expecting an older guy, I really was.. haha here's the deal.. What I was not expecting was such a cool, hip, tell it like it is, with flair and style all at once! haha, he was absolutely WITH IT!!! This is what confused me, simply because of his personality, he seemed far more youthful than I had understood him to be (Plus honestly, you can tell he takes really good care of himself!) So yeah,BING! BOOM! BAM! He now has his PLAN! And I am liking what I am hearing, even though he crushed my high hopes just a tad while referring to my upper eyes. Upon a close inspection, he was not sure he could make a huge change in their aesthetic for a variety of understandable reasons.. However, the bottoms were going to be "Amazing" when he was through with me..... Okay, so sounds to me like I am for sure going to leave this place far better than before I walked in, and that's a comforting feeling.
Now the abridged version.The actual procedure exceeded my expectations, including my top lids! The Dr. and his staff made me feel not alone and like I was part of their circle! I did not die or even come close! (Nor did I see any other dead or half dead people!) I received my service for exactly the price promised! In Closing: Being from the beauty/sales industry. Be mindful that: COMPETITORS WILL DO THEIR ABSOLUTE BEST TO SCARE YOU RIGHT INTO THEIR OWN BANK ACCOUNTS!
