I moved into The Courtyards 12/2008. The bathtub was peeling from the beginning and it caused a chemcial burn. The Courtyards under FPI management did resurface the tub twice but never looked at the outside vendors work which was shoddy. They never sanded the tub before application and therefore it kept cracking and peeling. In July 2009 the AC unit in the apartment above me condensated so badly it flooded the utility closet, the smaller bedroom closet, the hallway, and the dining room this continued until cooling season ended in mid-October. Despite numerous written requests, repairs were never done and the water intrusion left mold and mildew. Parts of the apartment were never usable again. When I faxed them copies of the law and informed I was abating the rent as per the law, I received no response. All written responses were faxed, sent by certified mail, and/or hand delivered. They are sueing me for restitution even though they did no repairs or clean.
