Review 8/23/2010
Do not trust this guy, I hired Jeffery Miller and his law firm approximately one year ago, after several months of nothing I fired them with the promise if I was to do better then them he would refund my money. Four months after firing them I was able to obtain a very good loan mod. Immediately I called Jeffery and he wanted me to file bankruptcy when I said no he started looking for other ways to keep my money. Here it is another four months after doing what they could not and still no refund. Now, after calling me numerous names this guy finally agrees to refund my money but will not do so for 45 days.

I am a disabled Veteran and really need the money but this guy does not care!!! It is all about free money for him.

Business's response - by Jeffrey M.on 8/24/2010
Ken M. engaged our law firm to obtain a modification. After several months, he got impatient and proceeded to contact his lender on his own. I told him that if he got a mod, then I would refund his fees paid, notwithstanding that we worked diligently on the file. Approximately two months after Ken began working his file on his own, I discovered that the lender needed some critical documents and intended to cancel the review. So I called Ken to let him know. I had been checking on the file to provide a safety net to Ken. At the time, he was quite grateful and even assured me that he would take that into consideration when we talked about the refund of fees. Eventually, Ken obtained his modification (or so he says as I have never seen it) and I agreed to a refund and even congratulated him. We then started to discuss the second loan and any credit card debt and I suggested Bankruptcy, as many clients use that to lien strip their second. Ken said he would like to think about it and discuss it with his spouse. He later called me and said that he wasn't interested in BK. We then discussed trying to settle his second loan at a huge discount. Ken liked that idea and was quite content to allow me to pursue that for him. He and I EVEN AGREED ON A PARTIAL REFUND OF $1500 so that he could use the money for a settlement. However, Ken again got impatient and so I then suggested that we contact the second lender directly and try to settle for a number that he could afford. Instead of allowing me to do that for him, Ken contacted his lender himself and believes that he has a settlement offer than he can accept. He immediately demanded a full refund, notwithstanding that he had previously agreed to a partial refund. Even though Ken is an angry and disingenuous guy (both of which are things I said) I agreed. I told Ken that he would receive his refund in 45 days. And that I do not jump one client over another when it comes to refunds.
