Review 6/21/2010
Dear Sir/Madam,
On March 17, 2010, my wife and I attended a presentation by VSA (Vacation Services of America) in Branson Missouri soliciting our membership for VTC (Vacation Travel Club).
The purpose of this correspondence is to convey our complete dissatisfaction with your program. The presenter, Deen, stood before our group and told us amazing stories concerning vacation, cruise, travel, and lodging deals! The problem is, they were really just stories, not truths. We feel that were outright lied to- and the benefits of ownership were greatly exaggerated as it pertained to Vacation Travel Club!
On the blackboard in front of the room Deen showed us examples of supposedly actual lodging, travel and cruise deals. He dazzeled us with how much available inventory they had both domestically and internationally! As I was to find out at a later date, I was unable to validate any of the offers that were on the board. The deals paraded before us were part of an elaborate scheme to convince us, based on false information, to become part of Vacation Travel Club. Needless to say, this was a Disappearing Offer, because we had to decide then or be refused the offer at a later time!
On more than one occassion we attempted to use this program to obtain lodging in Branson and elsewhere. This supposedly great vacation travel club program turned out to be very exceedingly disappointing as VTC was never able to provide the lodging we requested. After being told by the VTC representative that he would respond to my request by a certain time, I did not hear from him until I had called him repeatedly. My disappointment angered me so badly that I called VSA in Branson and complained that the Club was no good and that I was unhappy.
Back to Mr. Deen and the apparently outrageous promises made during his spiel: Deen told us that we would have upward of 90% lodging availability all year, except on two occasions, and the times we requested were neither of those times! Upon our return home, I went to the computer and could not ascertain the validity of any offers presented by Deen or VSA. We believe he knowingly lied to us and the others in attendance!
After trying, extensively and unsuccessfully, to secure lodging through VTC for Branson Missouri lodging for the end of May and beginning of June 2010, we are very much dismayed with both VTC and VSA, as they could provide nothing. We believe that they exaggerated about their ability to provide lodging, travel and cruises, as represented by Deen.
I am requesting a refund of our money due to the inability (both VSA and VTC) to deliver on their promises!
This correspondence is also being sent to the Missouri State Attoreny General's Office, as well as the Branson Missouri Chamber of Commerce.
Please remedy this situation by refunding our complete payment! If you do not respond favorably to this request, I will have no option but to pursue legal ramifications - by means of a class action suit!
