Definitely one of the worst
|
As a previous reviewer said, Vayama really is one of the worst online travel agents out there. I had a schedule change (which added an additional 24 hour layover on my trip) that resulted in more than 20 emails back and forth and hours on the phone over the course of four months. While they gave me the impression that it was all fixed up, in the end they did nothing to help me.
They made the necessary changes to my ticket in September, and assured me all was well. I was happy. The changes reverted in November, I contacted Vayama and they seemingly fixed it again and assured me all was well. The changes reverted again in December, I contacted Vayama and they "fixed it" by putting me NOT on the flights we previously agreed to.
After more emails and phone calls again with Vayama, they said the airline wouldn't put me on the flights that Vayama had previously written to me saying I was confirmed for. To add further insult to injury, they phoned me at 6:41am on a Sunday morning to tell me this.
I'm really amazed at the level of confusion and poor customer service throughout the way. Watch out.
UPDATE 1/15: While I got in touch with Ashleigh in response to her followup here, there was nothing gained. In the end it was nearly four months of poor and erroneous communications from Vayama on a single issue with me being the one having to constantly press the issue to be resolved. Stick with a bigger and more reputable online travel agency.
