Vayama SUCK!! Stay AWAY! There are more reliable agencies online...
|
I was looking for a good deal to London. Came across a Vayama rate for Virgin Atlantic Premium Economy flight. I booked it. When I received the "Booking Confirmation" via email, it had a disclosure that if my travel plans changed, it was "easy" to make adjustment, and just to contact them. Then a couple of days later I received the Ticket Confirmation, via email as well, and I noticed that I had made an error and had booked two days earlier than I was supposed to. I then contacted Vayama. At that point, that 24hr window that I might have to cancel the booking, had passed. Vayama customer service informed me that to change my flight I would incur a penalty of $100 from Vayama and $275 from Virgin Atlantic, plus I would have to pay any difference in the fare rate. I was told that someone would be in touch with me in 24-48hrs. Mind you that my flight would need to be extended by a mere 48 hours so I hardly believe that fares would change so drastically in the middle of winter over a 48 hour spam. To my surprise, over 24 hours later, I got an email from them saying that my flight could not be changed at all... I am left with only one option here: to miss my scheduled flight and purchase a new return flight two days later which will cost me almost the same amount I have paid Virgin Atlantic so far since neither Vayama nor Virgin Atlantic want to assist with this. I will make sure to NEVER use Vayama again. And certainly, my return flight will not be with Virgin Atlantic either!! I say, BOYCOTT them! If there was a ZERO star, I would give them that...
