I contacted LoanDepot because the house I live in was bought by my wife and I but because of bad credit I could not be on the loan so when the wife passed away I had to go through probate and get the deed in my name and loandepot was able to refinance the house for me so it would all be in my name. I started the refi on 1/14/2017 and got funded on 3/15/2017 I do not know if that is a long time but in my situation I thought it was fast. Elysa Malangone was great she was compassionate and it really felt like she knew what I was going through. Mark Michno got me started he is the one that said they could do the refi and he was great, then Eylsa took over and walked me through always answered any questions I had and was easy to get in touch with, they are in California and I am in Utah it was a pretty easy process if you have all the documents that are required. Plus they will do another refi for you when the rates go down for free and will reimburse you the appraisal report. Great experience will do again.
