We signed up for their account and were not initially told that there will be a $25 monthly fee. Then there was a surprise $35 miscellaneous fee with no explanation for what. When we called and talked to their customer service they said it was for PCI but again no previous notice about that charge. huge waste of time.. company sells your their service not even knowing if their software works with your phone. We had a huge event and were in a bind and the swiper didn't read cards with our phones. We had to manually enter every credit card which resulted in customers walking away from our booth. We had to use the service that one weekend because we were in a bind and cancelled the service in March and just got charges in April that they won't refund. Very frustrating and a waste of time... Very very unhappy with Leaders merchant services. When I set up my account last month, I specifically asked about all the fees and Tony told me no other fees other than the swipe fee and percentage of sales. Leaders has been very reliable for my business. I have a small business I run with my cousins and so far Leaders has been the best business upgrade we ever made. I had to call customer service from time to time but just to confirm certain things with them. Real glad I made the decision to make leaders a part of my business. Nothing beats their rate so far. I am not sure why others say that this company is a rip off, bash, or talk trash against them even if it ain't true. Some review sites should be vigilant in moderation and filter what needs to be filtered in order for company's to gain a fair rating rather than be rated poor by some folks who's just using them dummy accounts. Nothing beats leaders for me. I've been with leaders since 2008 and I am still one loyal customer stuck to them. never had problems with customer support.. bills and fees are transparent.. lower rates.. this is what attracted me with leaders and still very satisfied after 4 years of partnership! This company has very good sales people and tricky advertisement. As soon as they get you on board expect unpleasant surprises. We are a low volume CC processing company. I writing to tell you how incredibly impressed I am with your customer service. I had set up an account with Intuit and the service was horrible (long wait times, different person every time I called, couldn't get the scanner to me in less than a week from order, etc.). I contacted Leaders and within 20 minutes I had an account set up, a rep assigned to my account with numerous follow up calls AND the scanner the next day. Set us service was great too! Martha and I have been with leaders for quite some time now really. And thank God we didn't really experience negative things like other people did. this is the worst financial company that I have ever dealt with and I firmly believe that any positive review that they have are fabricated. They are packed with hidden fees and will mercilessly draft your bank account after you cancel them and try to get another 350.00. I have had Leaders Merchant Service for the past 3 years and they have consistently increased my fees. In addition, when I needed to put in a change of bank account they gave me a new account number and restarted the enrollment date which meant that I needed to continue to pay monthly fees even longer or be charged a cancellation fee. I used this company for my credit card billing for about a year. After getting a consult from another company they said Leaders M.S had me buy an outdated unit and was charging me over double what I should be paying. Just got hooked up with these slimes about a month ago. My first statement informs me about a $130 yearly security fee that will be charged to my account next month. A phone call to them to question the charge reveals that the fee is mentioned in my contract, but no amount is stated and can be changed at their whim. This company is a rip off. I called them in December about cancelling. I asked if there was a termination fee and was told no. I then realized they were still billing us a fee. My contract had 0 cost if not used,NO MINIMUMS, I'm a small biz with maybe 2 credit card charges a month, In Nov. 2010 I had a charge of +/- $500.00 Since I have been charged $400 in service charges. Leaders is a leader in telling you what the rates and fees would be up front, and then charging you much more one you have the "service" and when you call to complain, then they tell you what the real rates are. Just got my first statement from Leaders, and I was worried that I was going to be hit with unkown fee's and charges, but the sales guy at Leaders merchant services did a great job of explaining everything and letting me know what fee's I would be seeing on my statement.
