I bought a hard to find book from them via Amazon.com and it was in the condition described and it shipped quickly. As for the person complaining about the price of a book they inquired about jumping up in price by $20, that's common for whatever system they use to track pricing. As other reviewers have noted, this business lists inventory which it then does not sell for the terms indicated. They are gaming the system through being an AMZN merchant, listing on ABE (AMZN owned) and are affiliated with at least one out-of-state (out of California) eBay merchant. I saw a used book at a reasonable price (compared to the new book price on Amazon) I wanted on Abebooks offered through Books from California. I always prefer to support smaller companies so I sent an email and asked them the condition of the book, if it had any highlighting etc.. I found a book which I was looking for listed for sale by this seller, advertised for $1.77, but after placing an order for it, was told it was no longer available. When I went back to the abebooks web-site to look for another copy, the seller still had the book listed for sale at the same price.
