This is the worst moving company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I've done my share of travel nursing so believe me when I say that I have moved around quite a bit in the last few years and have dealt with quite a few moving companies depending on where I was going. I chose to entrust the most difficult part of our move to American Trusted Movers based on a handful of reviews I’d seen on-line. I had called about 8 other moving companies and just had a good feeling about this particular one. Starr at ATM was very helpful with the quote and reassured me that they guys and the truck would be there on time and ready to go. The movers spent a lot of time shrink wrapping our furniture, etc but this didn’t really help from keeping our furniture safe especially my baby’s change table and crib. Hidden charges!!!! We were not told that every single item will be shrink wrapped! We were not even asked! We ended up paying for everything! If you will look at the pictures, the wood was cracked. Granted the movers that came to the apartment were extremely polite and quick, be careful that this company gives you an accurate quote before they haul your stuff off. We did an out-of-state move and were quote a certain cubic footage/price at the apartment and then 24hours prior to delivery were given another (higher) quote. Absolutely the most horrible experience ever. They showed up late. The truck wasn't even ready and they tried to charge us for it. The movers were rude and purposely took as much time as possible to just wrap things. They also found no problem taking personal calls contstantly while we were paying them. I used American Trusted Movers on Saturday, September 20, 2008 to move my household belongings to San Clemente, Ca. The office staff was professional and responsive throughout the process. The moving crew arrived prepared to start work right away and was very professional, thorough and most importantly careful with all of our belongings. I used this company to move my family from Los Angeles to Winnetka recently, and they were awesome from start to finish. They were professional, courteous, and they worked fast! I was very impressed with the way that they handled my furniture. They even cleaned up afterwards. The workers were polite and professional. The problems came when payment was due-- both the number of hours and the rate suddenly became inflated. When they demanded an extra $400, we refused. At this point we recieved an angry phone call from the office manager (owner?) named Renee. She spent the next few minutes screaming into the phone about suing me... then hung up on me.
