Cal oaks has very poor customer service. They fail to respond to problems for repairs and will lie to cover up an error. This is a company that should be given a short chain. The handymen that they use will not fix your problem. We had our sink broken by their handyman and after two months of it leaking we called in a plumber on our own. We deducted the cost from the rent and they had a cow. Beware of them. We lived with them for three years and had nothing but problems. Read More »

California Oaks kicked me out of the home I had rented from Tim Hoctor for 16 years. I happily raised my kids there from birth to graduation, but they then decided they didn't like the good relationship I had with the owner and moved problem tenant, after problem tenant into the back house until our complaints finally looked like we complained about everything. I live in a building managed by these slumlords. This was a beautiful, clean, and quiet place. They took over 6 months ago and I might as well move to the ghetto. The smoke alarms don't work, there are broken windows, the washer/dryers are broken. Any time anyone complains, they just say OK and never respond.
