When I started with Mind Body, I was totally impressed with them. It cost me $75/month and it had great features and their staff really helped me get everything set up. HOWEVER... in the past 2 years, they continued to increase costs while reducing functionality and they did not Grandfather in any of their original clients in at the lower prices. Raised prices again and tries to sell you on an "upgraded" version. NO option to opt out, prices wen up from $125 to $195. 56% increase just to keep the same functionality. They know you have no choice because if you don't comply the "downgraded" version will lock you out of the vital information you need to run your business. They will hold you hostage. Read More »

Mindbody never took my account out of onboarding. I was charged for a entire year plus 30 days even after I let them know I wanted to cancel many times. I was being charged for services which were never provided. They would not let any appointments be booked as they needed to release the account into an open status which they never did yet felt they should continue charging me. They keep raising their prices and taking away features. They sent me an email telling me that they are humbled and grateful to have my business and they going to raise me to a higher tier unless I let them know that I don't want it. THEY CONSTANTLY DISRUPT BUSINESS - The software is pretty easy to figure out however the bad too far outweighs the good. When you crash as often as MindBody does it really doesn't matter whether your software is easy to use or not. Neil Shearer of the company suddenly decided to upgrade my subscription which I do not want on 24 August 2017 without my knowledge and agreement. This company tries their best to swindle you out of your hard earned money. I would not trust them with your business as they will get you in at a discounted rate then after you use their services for a while they will go up on the price, start breaking functions of your software and then tell you they don't know when it's going to be fixed. MindBody Online had excellent support up until the past 14 months. In the past, they provided us with excellent, skilled support. The tech agents actually understood the product and provided excellent support. NOW, since their "improvement", their support desk often requires a wait of several hours and the answers are sometimes incorrect. The app itself is cool, and easy to use. The service is horrendous. I ve only had a few times when I was stuck and needed more help than the online seminars, and could not get responded too. I am not sure if this is due to being in New Zealand, but it was impossible to get what you needed. One one occasion when I literally had to get help for pricing I finally got some one to help me after 3x emails, the 2nd and 3rd complaining, and 2 months! Our salon has been open since 2009 and we were looking to upgrade our system and get ready to expand. We chose Mind Body at the time due to all the functions. So frustrating this company is. I have sent over 6 emails and tried calling only to be on the phone for over an hour not get through and then they call you back 4 hours later when you are not available trying to cancel this contract. Bottom line: This software does not do what it offers. More importantly, shady billing practices seriously impact their credibility. I was mistakenly billed for 3 months, and then flat out told that they would not correct the billing because I cancelled. Luckily this was all during recorded conversations and written messages, so I was able to contact my credit card and receive credit for the funds spent. I am a ux/ui lover and MindBody can suck a big one. The program on the backend looks like some jenky software spreadsheets. It's so so so complicated to buy an item, to charge a customer, to scan a card. They have a million ridiculous popup windows for everything. It is not intuitive at all. It's amazing they get any business. There really must not be much competition for the gym software realm because MindBody is some of the worst ux/ui I have seen in my life. Read More »

We switched to MB 9 months ago. Customer complaints about setting appts online went up. The interface for doing so is not intuitive and so confuses our customers. The ONE thing we need from our service is to help set appts and present a easy, friendly face for our clients. You will not get this from this company. Can I rate this lower than 1 star? Ok, I am an owner of a martial arts school and I was told by the sales rep that I would have a free month AFTER my training was complete. Come to find out that they would not honor that agreement and wanted to charge me right after my training was complete. I have been a member of their service for about 4 months now, and I can say that there are some good features to the program. However, all in all, it is a buggy system that is VERY CONFUSING to use. OK so I am going to be 100% honest here..mindbody software is HORRIBLE and the worse investment you can make in your business ever! Please run while you can. I have been using Mindbody Software for a yoga studio for over 2 years. It is much better than Darma Tribe which was previously used. The one complaint I have is with the Course and Workshop part of the software. With software updates this part has changed so that it is almost unusable for me.
