I drove several hours with the intention of buying a 3 year old female, but fortunately a 9 week old puppy came available as the purchasers had been transferred and could not take their pup. After years of procrastination, our family finally made the decision to adopt a chocolate lab puppy. I spent a long time researching the English lab breed and looking all over for available puppies. My wife and I wanted to surprise our kids on Christmas with one. We recently purchased a female lab puppy from Seifert Labradors December 2012. The entire experience was wonderful! Tricia was very knowledgable and informative. I was welcomed by Tricia in September 2011 to get aquainted and to meet Splash, Sissy, and Gemma---the parents of the November 26 and 29th chocolate lab litters. I returned to choose a boy from Sissy's litter when the puppies were about 6 weeks old-----all gorgeous, sweet, and vigorous. I have been a professional petsitter for 16 years so I have been in the animal world a long time and Tricia is a wonderful, responsible breeder who breeds healthy, loved puppies. Seifert Labradors is absolutely wonderful!! We picked up our chocolate lab puppy 2 weeks ago and have been in heaven ever since. We got the sweetest, cutest, most perfect pup- all we hoped for and more! Tricia is fantastic! I emailed her over 20 times and she responded to each one quickly and thoroughly. I never thought I could be as happy as I were the day we had our son until now when we adopted our puppy. He is bred with quality, style and GREAT personality. Seifert Labradors provides new owners with an excellent puppy packet; including certifications on the parents of the litter, bill of sale, and hip-elbow-and eye guarantees, as well as literature on the puppies first year. Their litters are registered with AKC, and you are provided that form as well. They provide written steps to follow in their guarantee forms if your puppy should develop hip and/or elbow dysplasia. Although I think the owner means well, buyer beware. Do your homework when spending top dollar for a "quality" dog. We got a puppy from Seifert Labradors in March 2010. We found out she was from an unintentionally bred litter. The female had been retired for 2 years. The female had what the breeder referred to as a "silent heat". 31 Jan 2011 I recently picked up my chocolate lab puppy from Seifert Labs located in Atascadero/Santa Margarita on 29 Jan 2011. Seifert Labs delivered exactly what they promised, an alert, happy, playful, beautiful chocolate lab puppy. They were very honest and straight forward in all their business dealings with me.
