I recently boughtt a new Kia Soul approx a year ago from Paramount Kia of Asheville. The complete buying experience from the test drive to the final paperwork was great!! The salesman was very courteous, polite and was not pushy at all. The Soul has been a far better vehicle than I had expected. It was an inexpensive car with awesome features and great fuel mileage. Don't know where to start. First, my car sticker clearly states that remote trunk release comes with the car, however, the remote release is the lever in the floorboard. This is not remote. By definition, remote is far away, far apart, or secluded. The lever inside the car is none of these. This is false advertising by using an ambiguous word and not giving what the customer is expecting. Beware of paramount kia. The sales manager had to honor an internet advertised price on a used vehicle, so he jacked up the administration fee to $599. This wasnt including tax tag and title. It is 3 times higher than most dealerships. He wouldn't tell me what the fee was for, and even after I told him my bank would not give us a loan that high for the car, he would not budge on the price of the car nor the fee. So went to the lot today to buy two used cars. First not one salesman came out so had to go in and find someone to help me. Next I tell the salesman which two vechicles I am ready to purchase one wouldn't even start. So they tell us to test drive one why they see what is wrong with the other one. Get back to the lot and the Sales Manager Aaron sold the car right out from under us. I have owned 2 Kias before this one. I just traded in my 2001 Sportage with 167,000 miles for a new one. My brother has an optima with 91,000 miles. Neither of us have had problems beyond regular maintinence on either car. I would not own another brand. By the way, the people at Paramount were great to deal with. As a cautious consumer, I was a little hesitant to do business with Paramount after seeing the BBB rating and reading the previous review. However, a friend of mine had purchased several cars from them and spoke very highly of them. The dealership went out of their way to find the specific Sportage I wanted. The salesman was great. Be very cautious when dealing with this company. Their television ads are very misleading. Their salespeople do not have authorization to negotiate prices nor even to tell the customer what the interest rate will be on the car they are purchasing. When a car is decided upon (often by the senior salesman who may try to force a certain car upon the customer, and jacking up the price over the other cars the customer has looked at).
