I went to look for a living room set. Really just looking and I was approached by Jack Spirits very nice and patient. We looked at several pieces until I actually found a sofa that I really liked and I loved the color. We continued looking to find the perfect chair to match. When I opted to review under TrustLink, I was shocked to see negative reviews. We have been living outside the US for over 3 years and are now moving back. Before arriving we bought a home, since we sold, donated or gave away all our belonging before moving overseas. We needed to set up a new household. My husband & I bought a Best brand recliner and reclining sofa from CFC 2 years ago. We purchased a 5 year warranty and have had them out twice to refill the stuffing in both pieces and to repair a hole in the sofa. It was, apparently, custom made and took 2 months to arrive. We are now in need of additional padding as what they are filled with is what I call fiber fill instead of foam rubber. Our initial experience with CFC has been positive. Our salesperson was Lily Scott. Lily was very courteous and knowledgeable. The store in Arden, NC managed by Mary has the worst customer service of any store I ever had the mispleasure of dealing with. If you buy from them you'd better love the product because you're stuck with it. Mary does everything in her power to give you run around and put you off until finally the deadline has passed when they can do an exchange or refund. And you get no apologies. I bought a coffee table in the Waynesville store that their employees loaded up while I was paying for it. When I got home two of my neighbors carefully unloaded it. As soon as they set it on the ground at my house we all saw a scratch on the top of the table that wasn't there when I looked at it in the store. My Experience with Carolina Furniture Concepts was the worst I have ever had. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company and have original funds revoked before Carolina Furniture Concepts would replace a defective chair. I read all the reviews and came to a conclusion that some of the customers didn't take time to have a clear understanding of what they were doing! Like most people some have to blame someone other than them self. We purchased a top-of-the-line leather couch from Carolina Furniture on 12/202013, in fact, the most expensive couch in the store. It has an electric recliner, so we were worried that the couch would not work when the power goes out. The salesman assured us that this model came with a backup battery. We went into the store to buy a mattress. Had shopped everywhere and couldn't find the price and quality we were looking for. My wife has knee problems and joint problems so we really needed to find something that was a great fit for us. The salesperson was friendly and gave us the distance we needed. I visited Carolina Furniture Concepts about two weeks ago. My over all experience was very pleasant and satisfactory. The store was very clean and smells good. My sale person was very courteous and helpful. She was unlike furniture sale person. She gave me enough distance to look around the store but she was there to help me when I needed. It has now been almost 4 months and we have still not received our furniture. After 2 wrong orders we are still waiting for the piece we ordered in Oct of 2011. No one from the showroom in Arden will return our calls which began well before Christmas 2011 Take my advice - stay away from this store and the lousy customer service. I am disabled and in wheelchair got to front door and wife had to move a chair so i could get into isle,thats as far as i made it. Place is so crammed with over priced furniture we left. So I am a serious shopper, and I like a store that respects that and CFC does all the way. This furniture store has a great selection, and I was just dazzled by all the options, I mean not only can I check out different sofas, but each sofa has lots of fabric options. Sleazy Operation. Place sold me a bed after a lengthy discussion about what would be included in the price they quoted me. After paying I went to pick it up at the warehouse and they would not include the bed rails we had clearly discussed as part of the deal. Waynesville store was clean and well set up. Salesman who helped me on Sept. 17, 2010, was courteous. However the loveseat delivered to me on Dec 18, 2010, had torn fabric and twisted frame damage and was of less quality than the showroom pieces we sat in and chose (bait & switch tactics). Had the best furniture shopping experience!!! Bought a new living room suit from the Wayneville Store! They did not have the suit I wanted in stock however they ordered with a RUSH. We picked out a recliner to purchase, we were told there were 2 in stock. We paid for the recliners and when we picked them up and took them home, they were a different product. They sold us one product and gave us another.
