I used their services between 2010-2011. So you may ask why do a review now? Well because 11 years later I am being named on a workers comp issue. My tenants were great, I never had any issues with them as far as payments, and when they did request maintenance it was usually a wear and tear issue. S&L would contact me when maintenance was needed and I had the option of sending my own Vendor or have S&L send their own. We used S&L Property Management from September 2013 to October 2016 and from our experience, we would not recommend their services. They have terrible customer service, are unorganized, over charge, and have poor accounting. Below are a FEW examples of issues we have had. After being perfect tenants...Paid rent on time and left the house in excellent condition.... We did NOT receive full deposit back. This place makes you get the house professional cleaned, even though they do NOT do it for you when you move in. They also make you replace all light bulbs even though this is NOT done when you move in. They make you pay for a carpet cleaning even when it is NOT needed. This company is a rip off in all aspects especially if you are the owner. They keep the renters who move out deposits and then when the new renters move in they want this or that fixed. Rightfully so. If they had done the inspection as they supposedly reassure us they do, they would have found the problems. Where does the deposit go? It doesn't come back to the owners! Then when they get new renters in for you, they take out all these charges that are for posting your property, and charge you... Read More »

I have had nothing but problems since I moved into the house that I rent. It was dirty when I moved in and there has been an ongoing problem with insects inside the house. After a while S&L became slow to respond to my e-mails and phone calls. Now they won't respond at all. I bet the owner of this house would be distraught if he knew how poorly S&L is managing this property. I'm not the only one either.
