My story is no different from the other negative reviews posted below. My son ordered a hybrid snare drum pad in June 2019. 20 months later...he still has nothing to show for his hard earned money and wasted time. He's in high school drumline. Ordered as a sophomore, he's now a senior getting ready to graduate. WTF?! This company used to offer excuse after excuse for the refusal to ship, now they're ghosting us completely. How do you run a company by not delivering on your goods, I mean to wait more than 5 months for a product is absurd and a disservice to your customers. This company is a SCAM they take your hard earned money and you get NOTHING! My advice is twofold 1. Do not order from this company 2. Xymox should go out of business. I drum all the time, on my high school line and for wgi, and I'm getting into it even more everyday. I figured for my birthday, in late November I would get a drum pad with great quality. I ordered two drum pads from Xymox in late September(the buy one get one sale)hoping to get them a little before my birthday, but I have yet to get them. I was searching around for some Xymox pad videos after receiving my pads and saw this site thought I'd review my purchase. I bought a Reserve Corps Snare pad (best pad I have ever played on, feels just like my snare drum and has a cool snare sound device inside) and an iD Pad, where I got to create my own design/art on the drum surface. I placed an order with this company on November 29, 2012 for tenor practice pads. This was to be a Christmas gift [the big one] for my nephew of whom my husband and I have custody. I followed up after a couple of weeks of not hearing anything other than to have the payment taken from my account immediately. Please do not do business/order from Xymox Percussion. Unless they have a storefront that you can walk into, purchase your item, and actually walk out with the physical item. Ordered items from Xymox and never received them, even though our credit card had already been charged. The company would not allow us to cancel the order, nor would they refund the money even though the items NEVER shipped. We eventually had to go to the FTC, as well as the credit card company. Placed an order on 11/22/12 that was immediately charged. I called a week an a half later to check the status (understanding that the general timeframe mentioned on the website was 15 days). The gentleman who answered stated the pad was in production and should go out in 2-3 days. I subsequently emailed twice, called and left several messages and have never heard another word. Ordered a ScoJo practice pad for my son April 29th. I was assured a delivery within 5 to 7 days. I was forced to send several unanswered emails on the whereabouts and status of my order. After 2.5 weeks I was then told it would be shipped out Friday. I should have read the facebook page where there are endless posts regarding overdue orders. I bought a ID pad from Xymox last year and it was really cool. I put my own design on it and configured the rubber and snare sound to my preference for marching. Last month I received the tenor pad I oredered. It's such amazing quality and is so much better than any other tenor pad I have played on. The cut outs in the back make it easy to hear tones of the different drums, and the rubber tops with laminated surface make it feel very realistic. I love my Xymox pads. Read More »
