Activision's product Call of Duty: World at War has serious problems they wont fix. For Xbox at least (probably PS3 too), the mutiplayer mode is filled with hackers who modify the game. It's mostly the Nazi Zombie mini game. When you play, you see cheaters flying through the walls and playing in god mode (among other things). On November 20th I Visited the Military exchange to Grab something to keep me entertained, seeing I am Stationed overseas. well I grabbed a copy of Call of duty modern Warfare 2 slapped the DVD into my pc and wow. steam tells me I am not allowed to purchase this game in my area. AV is a horrible company. They have terrible customer service and their games have gone downhill since their squabble (over money)with Infinity Ward. They have effectively ruined the COD franchise with MW2 and Blag Ops. Their community manager for Black Ops went so far as to blame players (customers) for the incredible amount of lag that makes Black Ops all but unplayable. Serious issues with Call of Duty: Black Ops (PS3) 1) Single player - numerous crashes - I once had this error come up on screen... dobj for xmodel 'c_rus_spetznaz_body1_g_rarmoff' has more than 160 bones (see console for details) This error sent me stright back to the beginning of the mission - very annoying when you're playing on Veteran difficulty. I like their new game "Call of Duty: Black Ops",but taking "quickscoping" away ruined it. I am gladly going back to Modern Warefare 2 because of this an throwing my copy of black ops put the window and telling other to do the same. I would play competitive professional quickscoping but thanks to you I can't play in tournaments. Your sniping hit detection has always been bad and now you fix it but create another problem. This company cares nothing about the customers that pay every month to play their game World of Warcraft. They refuse to give any updates on fixing any of the problems that make the game unplayable, sometimes for hours. They do not answer their customers for weeks sometimes and add new content that make the problems worse before even trying to fix them! My son received the guitar hero world tour for Christmas of "08". We played the game for a month and that's when everything started going down hill. First I tried taking it back to Best Buy with the original receipt only to be told that I miss the so-called grace period at that I should contact the manufacturer. As far as products go, Activision provides a wide range of games that I personally find to be very good. As far as their customer service goes, they are terrible. First off, all customer service interactions are done through their website and email. This allows limited interaction with their customer service representatives and forces conversations which should take only minutes were they handled over the phone, to take days. Activision, a.k.a. Red Octane, the manufacturer of highly popular Guitar Hero games has no customer service. Yes, there is a phone number. Their web data even lists times to call. Problem is that they have no live operator assistance at all. None. No prompt. No response to "live operator", "customer service" or "help".
