Originally, Lou’s Floor Covering (LFC) replaced our carpet and tiled floors with hardwood. We were so pleased with the experience (price, quality of the products/workmanship and cleanliness….thank you Josh!) that we hired them again to remodel our master bathroom. The bathroom was gutted. We remodeled our home about a year ago. We used a contractor who thought he new everything about everything. He installed a our floor. 6 months later, the floor lifted off the foundation and the wood cupped. Our contractor did not put an expansion gap in nor did they use a proper moisture barrier. We contracted Lou's Flooring. He came to our rescue and installed a new wood floor. It took approximately 10 days for the entire 900 Sq/Foot floor to be installed. We used Lou's for the 2nd time in 2 years (they did new carpets/floors for us in 2013). This time, they replaced the countertops in our kitchen, and also replaced the existing fluorescent light fixture and also refaced the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen. The work was outstanding. All work was explained by Josh and Lou before the job was started and a fair price was quoted. Over the years we have used Lou for tile, painting and carpeting. All the work was done to perfection and our home was treated with respect through out the process. The subcontractors were supervised well. All of them were professionals - showing up on time, installing the products with an eye to durability and correct procedure and cleaning up. Lou's Floor Covering completed a full guest bathroom remodel in my townhouse and the end result was a beautiful value-adding home improvement. We just completed a complete remodel of our master bathroom. We are completely satisfied. Lou came out very quickly, gave us an estimate and the work started the next day. We had a very dated 1960s bathroom with a step-down shower with vinyl flooring. Lou’s Floor Covering is my contractor of choice and I highly recommend this company. I recently acquired a 1950’s vintage house in San Pedro that required extensive upgrades and refurbishment. Over the last 8 month’s, Lou’s Floor covering has completed several major projects in the house to my complete satisfaction. Extremely expensive. I was in the store walking around for 15 minutes (it was empty) and was totally ignored. A young man finally asked if I needed help. Then he said, "Do you understand English?" ve been a Palos Verdes resident for 30 years and this is the worst store I have visited. Not only is it's old interior unappealing the service is bad. I had to nobody to help me when I was considering a kitchen remodel. II've called several times to fix this and I got put on hold for a long amount of time, the one time I did get a hold of a person again she could not understand the directions I gave her. I've never been so impressed with a company and the owner/general contractor. Once I hired Lou, the work was started the next day and in two weeks, I had a whole new house. He had great designs and did an outstanding job on my shower. I had all new flooring put in along with floor molding, new paint and he remodeled my shower. My wife and I heard about Lou through a friend in San Pedro, Ca.. Was a great guy to work with concerning ideas and renovation materials. We had Lou and his crew install carpet and refinish some flooring. The work was done quickly. Maybe too quickly in my opinion. His workers overlooked a lot of small problems, mainly with the floor. We initially contracted Lou’s Floors to replace the carpet in our home but discovered they were also a general contractor. Lou and his team assured us of meeting our renovation needs with competent work and fair pricing. Our bathroom floors look great – the Cadiz Beige porcelain tiles are beautiful. We’re impressed with the product quality and design but most importantly the service provided by Lou’s Floors. Lou has done two different project in our condo. Lou was very helpful in coming up with a design and helped select the materials. Both jobs not only came out great but were done on budget and in less time than estimated. We look forward to future remodels with Lou and his team. Read More »
