We've been using the Deck Doctor for many years to restore and rebuild our wood deck, and have never been disappointed. Fred consistently does an excellent job, quickly and efficiently, and at a fair price. He's a pleasure to deal with -- very professional and personable. We interviewed three contractors to build a deck for our swim spa. Fred, the Deck Doctor, won the business hands down because his price was fair, he had the best ideas and most creative vision for the project by far and he was sincere and passionate about his work. Fred, from Deck Doctor did a fantastic job on our deck. He helped us decide what materials were best for us, designed our deck and was an master craftsman. He did everything he said he would do and more! Fred is a perfectionist and it shows in his work. Not only did he build our deck, but creatively updated some old fencing near the deck, making it look like it was designed to go with the deck without having to go to the expense of building new fencing. My wife and I just bought our first home. During the inspection it was revealed that the two balconies, 15 and 25 feet off the ground, needed to be rebuilt. We loved the house but were absolutely terified by the thought of getting involved with such a huge project. We had numerous bids on the job, but it was clear to us that Fred was our man. Hired Deck Doctor to construct a deck and benches around a new spa. Decided on using Brazilian Hardwood known as Ipe. While difficult to work with, Ipe is long lasting and will not splinter or rot. It's perfect around a hot tub or where moisture or a marine layer is present. The Deck Doctor (Fred Carrion) was creative in design and considers his work more art than construction.
