I have never done this before but I had some discomforting late payments, medical bills, student loans and bankruptcy filed in 2019. I had a credit score of 552(TransUnion), 505(Experian) and 533(Equifax) as of 17th of April 2021. I applied for a surgery loan in July but was not approved because of my poor credit report. Balboa Capital is one of the most unscrupulous lending companies I have ever dealt with for leasing equipment. They quoted me a decent interest rate for a 3 year least making monthly payment with $150 doc. fee. No other fees were indicated at that time. Balboa has got to be the slimiest company I have ever had to do business with. I think I am going to get a lawyer involved at this point to get out of our lease. We bought about $5000 worth of equipment 20 months ago and got a lease with them. We have been paying $300+ per month since then. I have personally signed for close to 20 different leases with various companies over the past 30 years, so I am very familiar with leases, both their good as well as their bad points. Balboa Capital has been the worst experience I have ever had with anyone in 13 years! Absolutely terrible! Michele Miller has been extremely uncooperative and does terrible business. I have paid 12 months longer as well do to sending my notice in four months prior instead of six months and now have to pay a large residual FMV to buyout! We two are in the same boat, but you know they expected this from companies, who is going to remember on a 3-4yr lease, that you have to write a letter 180 days in intent to purchase the vehicle, and therefore your lease renews for another 12 months, but mind you, that you discussed your intent to purchase the vehicle in the beginning, before signing the lease, so why would you need to notify them again in 180 days. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with on a financial basis. Their lease terms are basically usury and they have written tons of little land mines into the contract that they will use to extend it on exploitative terms. Well it is over a week now that Michelle Miller has not returned my calls. I am having the same problem with a 0% FMV lease option that I DID in fact send the proper docs to initiate the intent. It is a 36 month lease that renews 12 more months if they do not get this letter on intent. Of course my original rep is no longer with the company to help resolve this issue.
