Carmax can't seem to get my car I purchased from them fixed. I purchased a car that was supposed to be free of oil leaks or any issues. It was supposed to have passed the 125 point inspection but was not up to par. They had my car for over a week and were still ordering parts. No sense of urgency or care from Carmax at all. RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. THEY RIP YOU OFF IN 3 WAYS: 1. THEY DO NOT GIVE YOU ANYTHING CLOSE TO WHAT YOUR CAR IS WORTH. I read a few negative reviews about this company but still gave them the benefit of the doubt. I paid them a visit. After all what other dealer would buy my old car. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I HAD TO WAIT 45 MINUTES FOR THEM TO APPRAISE MY CAR. THIS PLACE QUOTED ME A PRICE FOR MY CAR THAT WAS $3,500 LESS THAN ANOTHER DEALER. SAME CAR, SELLING THE CAR OUTRIGHT! As I am reading a lot of these reviews on Carmax in Burbank, they are awful and horrible. I see that I am not the only one! I wonder if we can and want to do a class action lawsuit?? I bought a lexus rx350 from Carmax in late June, this is not my 1st lexus. But it was my 1st time buying a car through them. I bought a car from here at this exact Carmax everything went good as far as finance process and sales persons customer service knowledge. But the car they sold me since I have bought it is a lemon. Luckily I purchased an extended warranty on this vehicle it has has repairs totaling over $10,000 within the first year almost enough to buy another car! We are now running on 7 weeks without car while CarMax and BMW struggles to repair problems with oil leaks, oil consumption and red oil pressure warning lights going off. We finally contacted corporate and asked for assistance to get us out of the car since we have not owned it long enough to be ahead of the balance due. Our recent experience with Carmax was not only disappointing but frustrating. We recently purchased a car with less than 43,000 miles. 18 days later and having driven it about 25 miles a day it broke down. We called Carmax and were told to drive it back to them. We told them we could not drive it and were told to have it towed (it was still under their 30 day warranty you would think THEY would take care of having it towed). HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Don't ever consider buying a car from these idiots! I was a repeat carmax customer until today. I tried to purchase an 09 mazda 6 from this location a week ago and worked out the details with my credit union and their business office. I recently bought a vehicle from Carmax and regret that decision a million times over. My car was purchased in Aug and I have had it in my possession approx. 16 days, the rest of the time it has been in the service dept. for one thing after another. The service department at CarMax Burbank is ab-so-lute-ly HORRENDOUS. I have taken my car their three times because of my CarMax service plan, and every time has been worse than the next. I will never buy another car from carmax agian ( no carmax). I've been in the market for a new car, but dealerships will give you next to nothing for your trade in, in my case, almost 10k less than the Kelly Blue Book. They often suggest you take your car to Carmax. I took their advice, and was pleasantly surprised that they offered me significantly more than what any dealer would pay. I've been trying to buy a C5 Z06 Corvette for the last three months. I've seen a few cars that I had an interest in on the Carmax website, in particular, their Irvine store. Twice, I've have went out of my way to see a car that suppposedly was on their lot but wasn't.
