My first experience with Federal Building & Roofing Inc. was when they were referred to me by the manufacture of a solar vent I bought at Costco. Federal Building & Roofing repaired our roof due to beehives damage in a prompt and timely manner. Richard was very faithful to show up on time on estimate appointment and scheduled repair day. I worried about the rain was coming and they applied the service fast to ease my worry. They gave me 5 photos for work details and provide 3 years warranty. I like to get recommendations from family and friends as I shop. I decided after living in my home for many years, and the recent windstorm in the Southern CA valleys, that my roof finally needed a makeover. Richard knows the roofing business and does what he promises. He gave me an estimate and proposal within 24 hrs and started on the day agreed upon. I found federal Building & Roofing on Angie's List. Richard came as schedule inspected the damaged area as well as the rest of the roof, took pictures and showed them to me. He explained what needed to be repaired. As he repaired the damaged area he took pictures of the whole process and sent them to me for my files. I requested quotes from several roofing companies for repairs to my leaking roof. Federal Building and Roofing (FBR) provided the most comprehensive quote which included photos which were overlaid with drawings/descriptions of exactly what/where the repairs were to be conducted. Recently, after getting quotes from several contractors, I chose Federal Building and Roofing to replace my roof and install three skylights. Richard Griego oversaw the work and was very courteous. His crew was punctual, friendly, kept the area around the house clean, and did excellent work. The skylights turned out very nice and we have had no leaks around them. The Federal Building & Roofing Company was very responsive in getting me a quote on our home that was purchased in July 2011. Richard Griego was the person in charge in writing a proposal for our tiled roof home that needed some minor repairs around the chimney and some replacement of broken tiles around the entire roof. They surveyed the job area and also looked at the whole roof, wrote and wrote up an estimate with pictures and discussed them with me. They repaired the roof area around the water heater vent. They came out, evaluated the problem in detail, Checked the area all around the problem up to the ridge and then made the repairs. I called several roofing companies, but Federal Building and Roofing was the only comapny to return my call. They installed two attic fans to improve attic ventilation and help reduce cooling costs. We needed a roof repair on a VERY short notice to close escrow on the home we were selling. Contacting Federal Building and Roofing to repair the roof leak coming from the garage through to the kitchen window, was one of the better calls I've made. They were on time to inspect the problem and to quickly quote the job. They were also on time for the scheduled work day. Any mess that was made they cleaned up completely.
