Every step I have taken is blotched. All the outside services are quick and get back right away, but anything that is a simple electronic transaction for NNA takes days. I ordered electronic stamps almost a week ago that I still have not received, even after calling and sending emails. Worst experience ever, I ordered a stamp over a month ago, I have called several times because I never got it, First I was told it takes time to make, then I was told it was shipped and now I was told it was lost in transit, even though I have never gotten the first notification about my order, not that it was shipped or lost nothing!! The NNA is very sneaky. My background got approved with the state of California. Everything was good and I got my commission number. NNA sales rep sold me one thing after another and courses I had to complete. When I did my background check they denied me because I had 3 tickets for using a phone while driving a few years. I wish I had done my research before giving this company any money. Now I am being endlessly jerked around to get my first stamp, so I am also losing potential business. The agent I called several weeks ago was rude and completely unhelpful, as well as having no information about my order status except speculation. NNA produced two of the same orders due to their mistakes. Double billed us and refuse to refund the duplicate order. Customer service is poor. They could not seem to care any less about the proof that I have (e-mails and voice mail) that the mistake was indeed theirs. I was beyond disappointed with my over priced notary ink stamp, the font size was so tiny and my entire name is short only 8 letters, so there was no reason for it. I work in a law firm and we have to notarize documents all day long. I am embarrassed by the poor quality. When I called to complain they were simply said they don't give refunds. I AM SO FRUSTRATED with NNA! I renewed my background screening and received the results from the screening company. But my information has not been updated on the NNA website. As a result, the vendors I have worked for think it is in an expired status. I have called NNA for 3 weeks straight now only to be told it is an "IT glitch". Please do not waste your time or money joining this organization. The staff is extremely rude, snide, ignorant, and above all UNPROFESSIONAL. I contacted these people over a year ago and advised them that I find their organization to be worthless and a waste of money. I told them that I did not want any further marketing material from them. Here it is a year later and they are still sending me mailers (two a week) and emails trying to get me to sign up again. This has got to be the very worst customer service ever!!!! Once my membership with this company is over, I will be done with them. I contacted them, and paid them in Feb 2011. Here it is April, I still have yet to receive anything from them! I was told when I checked in with them in March that everything had been done and taken care of in regards to renewing my commission. I am not nor have I ever been a fan of the NNA, and others feel it is strictly a money making business. I was forced to contact NNA because a signing service required it to continue doing business with them. NNA constantly sends out renewal request some more than a year before NNA membership will expire. I have never been a big fan of the NNA, and like many feel it is strictly a money making business with little concern to what is best for the notaries the NNA serves. I have called their help hotline and another more respected notary organization. I trust the other far more than the NNA.
