i had an old dd2114 that i had simply added my distinguished flying cross . This rude person told me it was unacceptable and refused to give me service though i nearly lost my life in Vietnam in my earning this medal of whaich i offered him alternate proof from the verifyable commandant of the marine corps citation.This meant nothing to this person at the American War Library. I called American War Library this morning and after explaining I was trying to get a AFGCM Certificate for an Airman's next of kin (he had recently died in an accident on active duty), the person who answered the phone offered only rude and abrupt comments and then hung up. A very dear friend of our family wanted to present her son's with her father's WWI purple heart and her husband's WWII purple heart. She needed a replacement of the WWII medal and attempted to get it through this company. What was received (after nearly $100.00 was spent) was a FAKE!! NOTHING that this company offers should be considered reliable or even worthy of reviewing. They are certainly scammers. BEWARE! This company is bogus! I went to their website to find if any information had been posted there regarding my grandfather who served during WWII. I paid for a one day pass to access the records. After hours had passed, I got a confirmation email saying that my "1-DAY access upgrade has been enabled on The G.I.
