Do not use this insurance company for a loss claim. It is impossible to get paid. You have to have your buyer sign a statement after 21 days for loss. If you pay the buyer early, you will never hear from the buyer and if you wait the 21 days they are furious for having to wait. If you get the signed statement you have to pay the buyer before your insurance U Pic will pay you. Impossible. Only use them for damage claims. Fraud company. When you go to file a claim they will ignore you and when you pull teeth to get in touch with them they will make up every bogus excuse under the sun to deny your claim. "sorry looks like the pics your buyer provided is of another item", "the color looks a tad bit darker in his photos". And worse they will ask you hunt the item down from the buyer and send to them in exchange for their payment (you'd be an idiot to trust this company to send them your item in return of your ins... I really wish I did my research on this company before signing up with them. My experience with this company has been a nightmare. I own a small business and sell thru Amazon. I used this UPIC shipping ins. On every item until now. (It's the only option right now.) Their customer service is Horrible! They Didn't read my issue until 3rd or 4th email. The USPS lost several packages this past season and they only approved 1 of my claims. I can't believe I missed all the negative reviews here! I should have listened. They seemed like the right place to go to for shipping insurance. Our shipping company claimed they settle fast and are reasonable so didn't think about it but offered this on every package we shipped for several months now. I recently had to file my first claim with U-PIC for an item lost in the mail. Always a stressful situation, dealing with customer and insurance company. U-Pic made it very easy for my buyer to file an online affidavit that she had never received the package. When I got paranoid about the process, I emailed the company a few times! Last month I shipped a package through Staples USPS and it had arrived completely broken. I was worried and upset as it was a wedding gift. I was even more nervous as I found out that the extra insurance I purchased was through Staples (contracted with U-pic) and not USPS (which I was not informed of). I have been using u-pic for the last few years and I have never had an issue. I have had maybe 3-4 claims and they approved them and got me a refund check quickly. I have such a good relationship with them that I do not have to wait to refund my customer as I know u-pic will come through for me; I just refund the customer immediately and await my claim check. I sell vintage merchandise online and I'm so glad to have U-Pic insurance available for my sales. I'm a very careful shipper and have had few losses. Nevertheless, I had two experiences putting in claims for USPS insurance. That was enough! Both were nightmares! I then used Shipsaver Insurance and fortunately never had a claim. A couple weeks ago, I filed two insurance claims with U-PIC for lost international parcels totaling $154 via Endicia. However, today U-PIC issued a check cutting the value of my claim down to 37% of the claim amount. I paid for the insurance to adequately cover the full amount of my lost parcel claim, and I submitted the requested 6 pages of paperwork necessary to process the claims. Purchased a Megatouch Vibe off eBay for $1,800. I had used auction sniper to win the bid and purchase U-PIC insure as the item was of high dollar amount. Upon receiving the item damaged I first attempted to file a claim with FedEx which denied the claim.
