This company is not real. They are operating under a revoked TXDOT#6361863C. There are numerous complaints from previous consumers who were extorted by this company. Currently DOT is investigating them. This company is not even located in CA! Heres how it works. Dean or whoever will give a lowball quote over the phone. My company had used VIP a few months ago and they did a great job so I decided to use them again personally for a local move (Dec 2013). I wasn't sure when escrow would close but they were flexible with scheduling and arrived on time. We used VIP for a local move. No hidden fees, upfront about costs, which were competitive and reasonable. VIP made our move MUCH easier and less stressful . Worth every penny!! Would use them again and would recommend highly. The guys were friendly respectful professional and hustled , making very good use of time. We were doing a short distance move (15 miles) and hired a different company and they flaked on us. I called the night before and VIP was able to have a crew of 3 guys at our house the next morning! They were a life saver. Today (day of the move) they showed up on time, moved our things very carefully, didn't charge for wrapping stupid things, went over all pricing in the beginning and there were no surprises at the end. I should have known from when I got other quotes from other movers.They all told me that it is impossible to get an accurate quote without actually weighing my truck,And guess what ? This was my first move on my own. Due to a disability, I was unable to move myself out of my upstairs apartment. I called around, and VIP not only sounded legit (and Customer Support in the US), but the price was great. Moving day, George and Edgar were very professional. VIP Relocation was very prompt in their service and moved my goods quickly but carefully. All items were securely wrapped for their protection. VIP Relocation served my needs very well. They took extra care to wrap every single piece of my property and were equally careful when unloading and placing my furniture in the exact spot of the room that I wanted. They even went the extra mile by hoisting my child's crib up and over through two balconies because it was too wide to fit up the stairs. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! VIP Relocation is the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. We went with this company because of their high grade on the BBB's website but we were very disappointed with the service received. First the bad. Multiple pieces of furniture were broken, legs off of both a very expensive dresser as well as a cheaper coffee table. Furniture was disassembled but not re-assembled on delivery. My worst moving experience. We had inquired around and talked to several companies on the phone and all had various buyer beware signals. We chose VIP because they seemed to be sensible, communicative and able to address all of our moving needs. What actually happened was very different. Overall my experience with this company was good. I had a 1 br 1 ba move between two places in LA County about 30 mi apart, so not the most complicated move, requiring only two guys. VIP Relocation provided a professional moving job at a very reasonable cost. My move involved many stairs and they handled them smoothly and without complaint. I would recommend VIP Relocation for people who have a difficult move. I was moving my mother in with us and closing down her condo for 20 years. We had to move some stuff to storage and other stuff to the house and I wanted the stuff in storage to be well organized. VIP helped us with all of it.
